404 Error Code

When an audience opens your business website. And your website gets opened. And your website is opening only when your website URL audience is typing and searching on the search engine correctly. Then your website opens. But sometimes it also happens that a user wants to open any webpages of your website. But your website is not able to open because the audience who types the URL of your website in the search engine mistypes it. Due to which your website does not open an error comes on your website and we call it a 404 error. So when a user opens your website and it does not open, then that user goes to another website.

Due to this, you will get less traffic and your ranking will also decrease. To understand this in simple language, then we can call it a response to a missing page. If there is no such web page on your website that the user is searching for. Due to this, the user gets an error and the user goes to a different website to know his query. So you can correct the 404 error, to correct it, you will have to create a custom 404 page. And you can activate it through WordPress and you can avoid 404 errors. Due to this, your traffic will not decrease and the ranking will keep increasing. I use WordPress, so I am taking the name of WordPress, don’t worry.

A Complete Technical SEO Checklist (2023)

Indexed, Though Blocked by Robots.txt

If you have a website and there are some such web pages inside your website that you do not want google’s spiders to crawl those web pages. But why would you want google’s spiders not to crawl our web pages? So you can do this in many cases. For example, if you have a bank website or your website is under construction or you have launched some offer related to your business, which you want to give for 10 days. So in these cases, by giving instructions to the crawler, you can tell which webpages to crawl and which webpages are not to be crawled.

And robots.txt is a file and you tell it to the crawler in the format of syntax. Meaning you write syntax in it and you can write a different name for each crawler. Which crawler do you have to give instructions like the crawler of google or crawler of being or crawler of yahoo? So you can give instructions to any of these. And like google’s crawler we call google bot bing’s crawler we call bing bot and yahoo’s crawler we call slurp bot. And if you have to give instructions to all the crawlers not to crawl this webpage of mine, then you can use * for this. It provides instruction to * all crawlers.

And now let us understand it with an example so that you can understand it easily. That is if we have to crawl a web page with a google bot. And if you don’t want to do all the other crawlers, then you can write the syntax like this. You can save this syntax by writing it in a .txt file through notepad. You can upload this file by going to your Cpanel. Or you can easily do it through the Yoast plugin of WordPress. So now we know how to write its syntax.

User-agent: *
disallow:/slug of the page/
user-agent: google bot
allow:/slug of the page/

so you can give instructions to the crawler in this way and you can give them according to you. If you do not want to crawl which web pages with which crawler, then you can tell by writing the syntax.

What Is Schema Markup

Any website has to further improve its appearance on search engine result pages. So every website uses schema markup. So that is what this website is about and we use it to show it to the user in a good way. Meaning it is a kind of structured data that we apply on our website. And why do we use it so that the search engine can know about our website? That’s what our website is all about and it gives our site a good look at SERPs. Due to this the audience also likes it and the audience is easily understood. And it has three formats.

  1. Microdata
  2. Json-ld
  3. RDFa
and its code we can apply on the body as well as on the head. But more requirements are on the head because the crawler crawls on the head first. So you put this code on the head itself and we can implement multiple schema markups on a web page. And there is a lot of schema markup but we use only the important ones which are 9 so. Schema markup types 1. Article 2. Recipe 3. Local business 4. Rating 5. Organization 6. Faq 7. Product 8. Video 9. Event
so you can use any of these. There are other types of schema markup, but these days all of them are being used more. And if you do not know to code, then you can generate its code by visiting a website by typing a schema markup generator on google. And you can implement this code through google tag manager or you can WordPress.

what is the redirection in SEO

As the name itself gives you an idea of what it is. But if you must have come to know a little about this, then I am telling someone or the other. After all, what is this, and where do we use it? So if you have a website then you must know what it is. Because it is very important to know it, so let’s know it better in easy language. So by not loading the user and crawler on one webpage and loading it on another web page, this is what we call redirection. And there are two types of redirection.

  1. 301 it is permanent. Due to which the website to which we redirect, then the quality, authority, and equity of that website come into it. Meaning the link juice gets transferred to the new website. We use it when we change the domain name or ownership changes or we use it in HTTP to HTTPS etc.
  2. 302 this is temporary and we do not get anything in it. Like we used to get in 301 that the equity, quality, and authority of the old website used to fall on the new site. But in 302 it is not like that at all and we use it then. We use it when our website is under construction or in unavailable content etc. With this, you transfer the user to another web page for a few days.

Canonical Tag

Before explaining this, I want to explain something to you that if you are given any difficult question of maths. And you don’t know the answer to that question. But you should be told 2 answers to this question. If you solve this question and your answer is something else, what will you do with those who told you two answers? You won’t be able to do anything. You will get confused and you will ask your teacher the answer. So what I mean by this is that if duplicate web pages of your website are created. So even if google does not understand, then you have to explain to google.

And before explaining, you have to understand what it is. So if we know it in easy language, then we use it. If more than one URL is created then google cannot understand which URL is correct. Because google’s crawler is a boat, it has to be explained.

Then you must have come to know what it is. So its syntax is, you have to write it and you can do it easily with the help of WordPress. This duplicate will be placed in the head section of the page, which you have to make the original page. And its code is like this.

<Link rel=”canonical” href=”url of the original page”/>

And there is another part of it which we know as self-canonical. So we also know this in easy language. What is it after all? So if you have an eCommerce website and your product page has one plus phone. So this phone is showing on the product page but it is also showing on all the pages. So to correct this, we will use self-canonical to show the one plus phone only on the product page. And we will consider only the product page as original and all pages as duplicates. So in this, we will put the code on the original page by writing the syntax which I have told you by writing above. So I hope you must have learned something new after reading this article. And you must have understood, then stay with us for reading such articles, thank you.
